Two weeks ago, I was beside myself with worry over Fiona. I thought the end was near for her. She took a terrible fall down the stairs, it stunned her and made her cry for the night,
Due to other medication I was not allowed to give her Dermaxx for pain, and I had ceased the 4 in 1 Joint Rescue because of the medical protocol were are trying to use to resolves something else. She was prescribed a non NSAID pain/anti-inflammatory drug for two weeks. It did not help her and stressed her already failing liver. I took her off the drugs and resumed the 4 in 1 Joint Rescue.
Yesterday I got the joy to watch Fiona run circles in the backyard at mach speed, at 14+ years with vigor of a much younger dog, I wake up to a more alert, more active Fiona, that stairs are still a feat but she can do them. From despair to hope (while this isn’t the elixir of youth, it certainly increases the quality of life of an older pup with terrible arthritis and knee problems). She is on no prescription drugs for pain management or anti-inflammatory.
